Dentist - Cayuga / Crawfordsville
Valley Professionals Community Health Center (VPCHC) is looking for a dentist to join its compassionate and outstanding team in its Cayuga and/or Crawfordsville offices.
VPCHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with offices in Clinton, Cayuga, Crawfordsville, Terre Haute, Rockville, and Bloomingdale, Indiana as well as a Mobile School-Based Health Center. VPCHC’s mission is to serve the health care needs of our communities, particularly the underserved portions of the population in our mostly rural service area. VPCHC’s Cayuga office draws patients from Vermillion and Parke counties as well as neighboring Illinois counties, while VPCHC's Crawfordsville office draws patients from Montgomery and surrounding counties.
VPCHC celebrated its 12th anniversary this year and has grown exponentially in that time, from only 4 employees at the beginning to over 200 today. There is currently much momentum for growth and expansion, especially in our dental program. Our dental program first began in Bloomingdale in 2013 with two part-time dentists. It has since grown to our Cayuga and Crawfordsville offices where we have had a full-time dentist, part-time dentist, and multiple dental hygienists and dental assistants.
VPCHC is looking for a dentist who has a passion for caring for the underserved populations in a mostly rural setting. VPCHC has an integrated model of care whereby the dentist will work alongside our medical and behavioral health providers in treating the whole person. Some of the services provided by the dentist would include examining the patient’s teeth, gums and related issues and develop appropriate treatment plans. In addition, the dentist will work with the patient on preventative dental care, the causes and treatment of dental programs, and oral health services.
VPCHC places a premium on work-life balance with generous holiday and Paid Time Off allowances. A competitive salary and benefits package is offered. Continuing Medical Education is encouraged through monetary and time CME allowances (in addition to the PTO). Several current clinicians have successfully qualified for loan repayment through the National Health Service Corps.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a passion for caring for underserved populations and wants to work to improve the quality of life of his or her patients.
