Dr. Laurie Valera has over 20 years of experience in medicine. She graduated medical school in 2003 and finished her residency at Union Hospital Family Medicine Residency in 2009 and has been in the area since. She has done outpatient clinics for both adults and children, delivered babies, and was also one of the faculty for the residency program. She recently joined Valley Professionals after serving as a hospitalist at Union Hospital Clinton during the height of the pandemic. She is a mom, a grandma, and a dog mom. She enjoys music and likes to sing, play musical instruments, and play pickleball during her free time.

I just moved to the area and I needed to get my medical care set up. I’m on Medicare so my options are limited. I had been told about the positive experience some family had with J Childress and the staff at the South office. Yesterday was my first appointment (took a little over a week to get my first appointment), I was well taken care of, my needs and concerns were taken care of while making me feel comfortable. I left in a great mood with confidence that I don’t have to worry about my medical care. I would suggest them to anyone!
