Valley Professionals Community Health Center received six Community Health Quality Recognition badges in the areas of access, quality, health equity, health information technology and COVID-19 public health emergency response in August 2022. The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) announced recognition of health centers across the nation that made notable quality achievements in 2021. Valley Professionals was recognized for the following achievements: National Quality Leader – Heart Health, Health Center Quality Leader – Gold, Access Enhancer, Health Disparities Reducer, Advancing Health Information technology for Quality, Patient-Centered Medical Home
Less than 1% of health centers achieved the National Quality Leader – Heart Health badge, while Valley Professionals was the only health center in Indiana to attain this recognition. National Quality Leader badges are awarded to health center awardees and look-alikes programs that meet or exceed national benchmarks for one or more of the identified clinical quality measures.
To be eligible for 2022 CHQR badges, health centers must submit annual reporting data, use electronic health records to report on clinical quality measures and entire patient populations, as well as be an active Health Center Program awardee or look-alike.
