Valley Addictions Program (VAP) is a specialized program designed to meet the unique needs of individuals with substance-related disorders.
Recovery is Possible
The goal of the Valley Addictions Program (VAP) is to assist our patients in stopping the use of drugs, maintaining a drug-free lifestyle, and repairing our patient’s ability to function within their family environment, at work, and in the community.
When deemed medically appropriate, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) will combine with behavioral health services by utilizing medications as the best way to ensure successful treatment.

Criteria
The program offers a variety of services including, educational groups, family education, and group therapy. Beginning with admission, the patient will receive a folder containing information about the program, schedules, recovery information, 12-Step meeting lists, and other materials. It is important for patients to review this information and share it with their families.
Treatment will end when: goals have been met, that is, symptoms have been significantly reduced and functioning has improved; when the patient no longer requires VAP services; or under other circumstances. VAP programming is scheduled to last 12-18 months, in two separate phases.

What is Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)?
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), including opioid treatment programs (OTPs), combines behavioral therapy and medications to treat substance use disorders. Valley Professionals will manage the use of Buprenorphine-Naloxone (Suboxone) by its patients through a prior authorization program that assures appropriate indication for and utilization of the drug. Buprenorphine-Naloxone (Suboxone) treatment will be accompanied by an ongoing counseling and behavioral health program.
